With over a decade of expertise in web design and development, Richard Kingston combines a strong foundation in design, technology, and problem-solving to deliver innovative digital solutions. Holding dual Bachelor's Degrees in Interactive Web Design, Graphic Arts, and Theatre Design from the Art Institute of Dallas and the University of Central Oklahoma, Richard graduated with honors and quickly applied his education to real-world challenges.

His career began with an impactful internship at CW33/KDAF in Dallas, where he gained valuable industry experience, paving the way for his role at Belo Corp./Gannett. There, he supported 38 local television stations nationwide, collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing third-party vendors, and working directly with clients to ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects. Richard also developed mock-ups, system documentation, and provided training to colleagues, new employees, and site managers on various systems and programs.

Richard's expertise expanded as he advanced to Lead Designer at First Web Marketing, further honing his skills in user-centric design and project management. He later embraced a Junior Programmer role at Norwex, where he deepened his programming knowledge while contributing to a range of digital initiatives.

Richard’s dedication to continuous learning and improvement drives his passion for tackling new challenges and staying at the forefront of emerging web technologies. He is always looking for opportunities to grow professionally and deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.

Norwex

During his time with Norwex, Richard Kingston significantly enhanced his programming skills while contributing to the development and maintenance of their primary B2C site, as well as their training and charitable giving platforms. Additionally, he built custom WordPress plugins and other systems designed to streamline coworker workflows and improve consultants' access to essential product information.

SIG.org

Sourcing Industry Group (SIG) contracted Richard Kingston for a three-month project to redesign and develop email templates for their promotional and marketing campaigns. Using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, he designed visually appealing templates, then implemented them using the Salesforce Pardot Email Builder, ensuring seamless functionality and effective communication for their campaigns.

First Web Marketing

With his transition to First Web Marketing, an SEO firm based in Fort Worth, Richard Kingston assumed the role of lead designer. In this position, he expanded his skill set to include not only website designs but also logos, postcards, brochures, and web graphics. Known for his teamwork, strong communication skills, and positive attitude, Richard consistently strives to stay ahead of emerging industry trends, ensuring his work remains innovative and aligned with the latest best practices.

Logos

Richard Kingston pursued graphic design studies during his academic career, but it wasn't until his role at First Web Marketing that he gained hands-on experience in the field. Belo/Tegna

When Belo Corp. was acquired by Tegna in 2013, Richard Kingston was retained and played a crucial role in the transition. Working within a corporate environment. He was responsible for creating detailed wireframes and designing mockups that adhered to brand guidelines and color palettes. Throughout the approval process, Richard worked closely with various teams to revise and refine designs, ensuring that all feedback was addressed while maintaining the integrity of the original vision.

In 2011, the team earned a win in the Interactivity category, marking a significant achievement. The following year, they received another nomination for their continued excellence in their field, underscoring the high caliber of their work.
